Merry Christmas! A few days late… haha. I hope you were able to spend some time with your loved ones during the Holidays.
I certainly took some time to disconnect, enjoy a few walks out by the beach and also finally finished reading my book.
So for Christmas: did you get any golf-related gifts this year?
I didn’t. Which is totally okay haha because I didn’t actually wish for any. I do have a few things that I’ve got my eye on though and that I want to buy soon, but I’ll show you more of that another day.
My plan was to get out on the golf course during Christmas week but that unfortunately didn’t happen. There are still restrictions here in Barcelona that prevent anybody from leaving the county, which is pretty much the whole city-area, and all the golf courses are located outside of that. So it looks like I’ll have to wait a bit longer before getting back playing.
Did you get a chance to play or practice any golf during the Christmas holidays?
It’s funny how, when you can’t play, that really is the only thing you want to do. I think I’ve dreamt about being on a golf course on a warm sunny day almost every day this week, haha.
When you’re able to practice and play pretty much every day (like I was in college) you almost take it for granted. Now, not being able to play for such a long time, I understand how lucky I was to be able to spend so much time on the course on a daily basis.
Anyways, I’m optimistic that the restrictions will change soon and I feel like getting out on the course will be an even more rewarding an amazing experience after such a long wait. Until then, I will continue doing what I can do from home, mostly focusing on putting and fitness, to prepare for the 2021 season.
I’m thinking about sharing some of the drills and exercises that I do from home on here… so you know what to expect next!
