ADIDAS TOUR360: MY HONEST OPINION
“Spiked or spikeless?”
One of the most commonly asked questions when it comes to golf shoes. Which kind is the best? Most comfortable? Most reliable? The prettiest?
Personally, I’m a big fan of both. Different situations call for different types of shoes.
Growing up, I always wore spiked shoes. Mainly because spikeless golf shoes weren’t really a thing. Most traditional golf shoes were quite bulky, with a hard shell that took you weeks (and a few blisters) to break in.
That’s why spikeless golf shoes stole my heart right away when I tried them for the first time: they’re so comfortable.
A few weeks ago, Adidas Golf released their new TOUR360 24 shoes and it’s the first spiked golf shoes I’ve worn in a while.
I’ve taken them to the range and to the course, in both dry and rainy conditions, to try them out and see if these spiked shoes are taking a spot in my 2024 golf shoes lineup.
To be honest with you, I had completely forgotten what wearing spiked golf shoes is like. So that alone tells you that it’s been quite a while since I went all in on spikeless.
My first few shots out on the course I honestly kind of got stuck in the grass during my swing lol. I just wasn’t used to the grip.
And it also made me realize I may have been letting my left foot slide a bit too much in my swing recently.. but that’s a topic for another day.
Point is, the grip is really, and I mean really, good. Which, if you’re like me and live in a cold and rainy place (hello Sweden), is much needed. Probably more needed than I initially thought.
So I’m going to be a bit more thoughtful about my shoe choice this season based on when and where I’m playing. Again: different shoes are good for different situations.
At the moment, the TOUR360s really is the ultimate shoe for me during the wet and muddy spring season here.
And apart from the actual benefits of the spikes and the grip you get from them, I also really just love the look of the 360s.
I’ve always been a very sporty girl and love a good sporty golf outfit, which is exactly the vibe I think the TOUR360s are giving. Sporty and clean with a bit of color.
Getting back to the whole point I made about spiked shoes traditionally not being comfortable I also need to add that these shoes actually are comfortable.
I’ve walked the course in them on two occasions and also worn them to the range a few times and have had zero blisters or any part of my feet hurting from wearing them. So that’s definitely a first for me as spiked golf shoes goes.
